The Varia Drive-In Theatre opened on October 20, 1950

The Varia Drive-In was opened October 20, 1950 when it was operated by T. G. Solomon. He also operated three other drive-ins in Jackson, MS; the 51 Drive-In, the Highway 80 Drive-In and the Skyvue Drive-In. The Varia Drive-In closed sometime in the 1970’s. It was operated by Gulf States Theatres from 1963 until 1975.
